Chinese rockets disassemble during flight as a safety measure to ensure that any malfunctioning or failing components do not pose a threat to populated areas on the ground. By disassembling, the rocket's debris is spread over a larger area, reducing the risk of damage or injury. This is a common practice in the aerospace industry to mitigate the potential dangers of a rocket failure. Additionally, it allows for a controlled and planned disposal of the rocket's components, minimizing the impact on the environment. **
